Police and relevant authorities have drawn attention to a case of environmental abuse in the municipality of Ivinje, where a 65-year-old man is accused of polluting the environment. According to established facts, the suspect, on his own land located near the aforementioned place, carried out actions harmful to the environment, with the acts continuing from an unknown earlier period up to 26 August 2026.
As established, the acts took place at multiple locations within the aforementioned land, where the suspect directly disposed of construction waste. It is specifically noted that during the removal process, the waste was covered, creating a previously dug hole in the ground. In this hole, according to available information, the suspect disposed of waste, including sewage, thereby directly endangering the ecological balance at the site in question.
In view of the seriousness of the offence, a criminal complaint was filed against the aforementioned 65-year-old man with the State Attorney’s Office in Šibenik. The actions on the ground, including the manner in which the waste was disposed of, are detailed further in the accompanying documents, and the proceedings will continue in accordance with the legal framework for environmental protection.
