A traditional sports event was held in Požega, with participants from the local area. The event was organised by the Požega branch of the Association of Croatian Veterans of the Homeland War (HVIDR). The competition included several different disciplines, including table tennis, shooting, fishing, and chess, as well as specific disciplines such as hanging ball. Around 80 participants took part, with a focus on promoting sports activities and the social integration of participants.

The local athletes achieved the greatest success, taking first place ahead of teams from Pakrac and Lipik. A particular highlight was the performance of Vinko Dvoja, who won first place in the electric ping-pong discipline. In the bowling discipline, first place was taken by Darko Jozipović. The winning athletes were awarded medals, with organisers highlighting the importance of such meetings for strengthening the community and supporting veterans.

The top-placed individuals and team disciplines qualified for the national level. The national competition, in which the best from each county will be represented, will take place in October in Mali Lošinj. This event represents an important step in promoting sports values and social inclusion among veterans, while simultaneously providing them with the opportunity to compete at a higher level and achieve new sporting successes.
