Firefighters successfully defended the resort in Brač from the immediate threat of fire. Although the fire engulfed the wider area, including part of the settlement, experts stressed that the intervention was focused on protecting key structures. The mayor of Supetar, Ivana Marković, dismissed reports that the entire settlement had been evacuated, stating that evacuation measures were targeted only at the threatened areas, not the entire village.

This proactive measure allowed for a quicker response and better control over the spread of the fire, thereby avoiding greater material damage and risk to the population.

This type of intervention requires coordination between multiple agencies, including the police and emergency medical services, whose representatives are present in the reception centres. This cooperation is essential for ensuring the safety of citizens and effectively managing crisis situations caused by extreme weather conditions.
