As part of his regular duties, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, Oleg Butković, will be in Primorsko-Goranska County on 31 August 2026. The main reason for the visit is the official opening of the new construction, which marks the completion of a significant infrastructure project. The works, with a total value of €3.1 million excluding value added tax, are now officially complete.

The new road, approximately one kilometre in length, represents a significant improvement to the local infrastructure. The road runs along the section from Mostić to Donje Selo, ensuring a faster and safer connection between the two settlements. The key benefit of this investment is that transit traffic is diverted away from the town centre, reducing noise, pollution and general strain on residents living in the central part of the settlement.

Representatives of the local self-government and the contractors will be present at the opening of the infrastructure project. Also in attendance will be the Primorsko-Goranska County Prefect, Ivica Lukan, and the Mayor of the Municipality of Fužine, Ana Merle. Their presence underscores the importance of the project for the local community and regional development. The successful completion of the works was made possible by the collaboration of two companies, which carried out the works in partnership: GP Krk d.d. and Goran Graditelj Delnice d.o.o.
