The Disciplinary Commission of the Croatian Football Federation (HNS) has issued final decisions on disciplinary measures for offences committed during the first round of the Croatian league. Although the decisions were made, the public was made aware of them later, primarily due to technical issues in the publication system on the federation's website. The HNS published the final decisions on 5 August, two days after they were originally made, which created some confusion regarding the timing of the news publication.
The most severe penalty in this round relates to the club from Split. Hajduk has been fined 15,000 euros. The reason for this sanction is the ignition of pyrotechnics during the match. Specifically, members of the Torcide fan group set fire to a seat in the second tier. Prior to this incident, the fans had declared a boycott, but the situation changed after ticket prices were reduced, leading to a withdrawal of the boycott. However, disciplinary measures and fines remain in place as a result of the offences committed during the match.
Similar, albeit milder, sanctions were handed down to the players and fans of Dinamo. The Zagreb-based club was fined 7,500 euros. The reason for the fine is the use of flares during the match. The match between Dinamo and Slaven Belupo, on which the offence occurred, was played on 31 July at the Maksimir stadium. Although the incident was recorded at the start of the season, the disciplinary bodies only completed the review and imposition of the penalty a few days later, in August, thereby closing this part of the disciplinary process for the first round of the season.
