Lando Norris took pole position in the Spanish Grand Prix, recording a lap time of 1:31.824. His contemporary, Kimi Antonelli, finished in second place, 0.011 seconds behind Norris. Max Verstappen took third place, 0.140 seconds behind the leading driver.

In the second row, Lewis Hamilton finished fourth, with Charles Leclerk fifth. George Russell took sixth, and Oscar Piastri seventh. Piastri was 0.470 seconds slower than the winner, while the difference between Russell and Antonelli was 0.314 seconds. Russell had issues with overheating tyres during qualifying, which affected his performance.

Hamilton improved his time by 0.06 seconds in the final lap, but was unable to prevent a drop to fourth place. Leclerk was 0.006 seconds slower than Hamilton. All three drivers (Norris, Antonelli, Verstappen) competed in the final moments of qualifying, which added tension to the end of the qualifying session.
