Minister of Labour, Pensions, Family and Social Policy Alen Ružić participated in the handover ceremony of the apartments, marking the completion of new accommodation facilities. This act provides conditions for the better care of children without parental care, continuing the implementation of the Ministry's strategic objectives in the field of social care.
The newly built facilities belong to the Lipik Centre for the Provision of Social Services, and are intended exclusively for the accommodation of 20 children. This investment is part of a broader support system, with Minister Ružić highlighting the importance of providing high-quality living conditions for all users of these services.
As part of the project, four residential communities were built in Novska, creating a total of 22 places for the accommodation of children. This measure provides a safe and complete environment for children who have temporarily or permanently lost parental care, ensuring they have the conditions for normal growth and development.
The Ministry has provided funds in the amount of 280,000 euros for the renovation and furnishing of these apartments. These funds are intended for the furnishing of the apartments, ensuring that each user has appropriate living conditions, including furniture, kitchen utensils, and other necessary items for daily life.
This investment is part of the broader social protection system in Croatia. According to data, at the end of last year, a total of 1,644 people were living in organized housing. Of this number, 408 were children, while the remaining 1,236 were adults. These figures illustrate the scope of needs for accommodation and care, and the importance of continuous investment in this type of social infrastructure.
The goal of such investments is to provide high-quality conditions for all users, regardless of their age or specific needs. This measure contributes to improving the quality of life for all users, providing a safe and complete environment for residence.
