Krapina-Zagorje County has officially launched the tender for the 2026 participatory budget for young people. This tender presents an opportunity for the youth to take part in the decision-making process regarding the allocation of funds for their projects at the local level.
According to the published conditions, the minimum amount of funds that can be requested for the financing of an individual project is 500.00 euros, while the upper limit for the request is set at 3,000.00 euros. This financial framework defines the range of projects that can be supported through this participatory mechanism.
The tender is open to various categories of applicants from the Krapina-Zagorje County. It includes youth councils operating within the county, as well as educational institutions with their headquarters within the borders of the county. These institutions play a key role in promoting active and organised youth engagement.
In addition to organisational bodies, the tender is open to individuals and small groups. Young people aged 15 to 30 can apply individually with their ideas. Groups of 3 to 5 people are also able to submit a joint proposal, which encourages cooperation and collective action within the community.
This step by the county administration aims to strengthen democratic skills and responsibility among the younger generation, allowing them to directly influence the development of the local community through concrete projects and initiatives.
