The Spanish low-cost carrier Vueling has announced a return to the airport in Dubrovnik, specifically to Dubrovnik Airport, where it will once again connect the Croatian coast with Barcelona. This move marks a continuation of air connectivity between the two key tourist hubs following a short break, with operational activity planned for November of this year.
The initial phase of the season will begin with a more conservative schedule to assess demand. The first weekly departures are scheduled for Saturday, allowing passengers flexible planning for weekend trips. This initial rhythm will continue until 9 January, when a short winter break in traffic on this route is anticipated.
From 1 December, Vueling will introduce additional flight frequency by adding a weekly flight on Tuesdays. This increases capacity on the Barcelona–Dubrovnik route, offering passengers more options for travel during the early winter period. In total, Vueling will operate 23 rotations over the season, representing a significant contribution to air transport supply in that period.
Following the winter break, operations resume on 27 February. The initial schedule after the break again includes one weekly flight on Saturday, similar to the start of the season. However, from 25 March, the schedule will be expanded further with the addition of a flight on Thursday, increasing flight availability towards the end of spring.
The pricing strategy for this period shows competitive prices for passengers planning travel in December. Return tickets for flights in that month range from 50 to 60 euros, making them an affordable option for tourists and business travellers.
In total, Vueling will operate on the route to Dubrovnik for a period of three and a half months. This season represents an important step in the renewal and expansion of air links on the Adriatic coast, with an emphasis on flexible scheduling and affordable ticket prices.
