The city of Ogulin has secured €100,000 for support to small and medium-sized enterprises, thereby enabling the further development of the local economic sector. The mayor has published a call for applications for the allocation of support for small value, based on the support programme for small and medium-sized enterprises in the city for 2026. This step is part of a broader strategy to strengthen the local economy and promote entrepreneurial activity within the community.
The tender is currently ongoing, with the deadline for submitting applications falling on 16 September 2026. The aim of these measures is to promote the development of entrepreneurship, preserve existing jobs, and create new jobs, thereby ensuring the stability and competitiveness of businesses in the city. The programme covers seven different support measures, tailored to the specific needs of different categories of entrepreneurs.
Among the measures offered is 'Support for women entrepreneurs', which allows for co-financing of up to 35 per cent of eligible costs, with a maximum amount of €3,000. For young entrepreneurs, aged 18 to 40, support is provided for up to 60 per cent of costs, also with a ceiling of €3,000. Special attention is paid to novice entrepreneurs, whose projects can be co-financed to the extent of 80 per cent, with a maximum amount of €5,000.
In addition to these targeted supports, other measures are available, such as that for preserving traditional crafts, which covers up to 50 per cent of costs up to €1,000, and support for participation in trade fairs and project presentations, with a maximum amount of €300 per year. Furthermore, up to €1,000 per year can be secured for the training of entrepreneurs and employees. Funding is provided, depending on the measure, for the purchase of machinery, tools, and equipment, as well as for the renovation and adaptation of business premises, in accordance with other activities stipulated in the tender.
